Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Gentle pressing followed by 12 months of maturation, including malolactic fermentation, in large oak barrels. After the individual components were blended together, the wine spent a further short period in cement tanks.
Intense Pinot nose of cherry, forest fruit, violet and spice. Juicy on the palate with delicate tannins and an elegant body. Complex, persistent finish with pronounced berry fruit notes.
Fruit from wineries in the municipalities of Appiano, Kaltern and Pinzon, grown at elevations of between 350 and 550 metres. The vines are beteen 6 an 26 years old and enjoy a south-easterly and south-westerly aspect on moraine debris and limestone gravel.
