Fermentation on the skins for 20 days followed by maturation for 12 months in oak barrels. Then the wine is blended and spends a further 10 months in stainless steel.
Fine, delicate nose of blackcurrant, mint, cocoa, blackberry, leather and tobacco. This is a complex, full-bodied cuvée with fine-boned tannins.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc thrive in ideal growing conditions in and around Appiano, Caldaro and Cortaccia, producing fruit of premium quality. The grapes for this wine grow on exposed south-east-facing slopes, where the soil consists of moraine debris and limestone gravel.
