Hand-picked grapes. Short maceration ('skin contact') followed by fermentation at approximately 28°C for around one week. Subsequent maturation for 15 to 18 months in stainless steel before bottling and subsequent release.
Deep purple. Assertive cherry fruit along with cherry liqueur, wild mountain herbs, blue and violet blossom, and white pepper on the nose. Deep black cherry fruit and elegant, juicy tannins on the palate. This is a fresh, vibrant, complex wine that speaks of its vintage and terroir.
Sourced from sites that have a south-south-easterly aspect along with soils mainly comprised of loam and limestone.
