This grape is at home in Sardinia, where it makes fresh, vibrant, aromatic white wines. It is also grown in Corsica, Liguria, Tuscany and increasingly in Languedoc. Vermentino is a late-ripening variety, producing wines that are intense, fruity and aromatic on the nose.
