Fermentation for four weeks in stainless steel vats at 16 to 18°C, then maturation for six to eight months in new and used oak barrels.
Straw-yellow colour. This Vermentino is intense and complex on the nose, showing honey, orange blossom, grapefruit, Pompia fruit, peach, ripe red apple and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, dry with balanced acidity and appealing concentration. The finish is long, with ripe citrus characters.
The estate vineyards are situated in the region of Gallura in northern Sardinia. Geologically, the terrain here tends to consist of granite and sand – soils that are rich in potassium but contain significant amounts of phosphorus and nitrogen as well. This is the ideal terroir for growing Vermentino.
