Mechanical pressing of the grapes followed by temperature-controlled pumping of the juice from the bottom of the vat up to the top at least twice a day. Subsequent maturation for 24 months in oak.
Ruby colour. Nose of ripe red and dark berries, plum and delicate spice. Full-bodied on the palate, with ripe tannins and balanced acidity lending great harmony. Berry notes dominate the persistent finish, complemented by hints of ground pepper.
Gabriele Scaglione's vineyards occupy some of the best terroir in the Langhe and Roero wine districts.
