Selective manual harvest of overripe grapes. Gentle pressing followed by fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel. Long maturation on the fine lees to lend extra suppleness, texture and complexity.
Elegant, concentrated and exceptionally fine nose with incredibly pure ripe fruit expression. This Auslese is an extremely assertive wine showing wonderful intensity, complexity and energy.
The weathered Devonian slate terroir of this steeply sloping vineyard offers ideal conditions for growing grapes thanks to its south-south-westerly aspect and gradients of up to 70 degrees.
