Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Gentle pressing followed by wild-yeast fermentation in stainless steel. Maturation with extended ageing on the fine lees to lend added complexity and creaminess. No filtering or fining.
Complex on the nose, with ripe apple, peach, apricot, lemon zest, yeasty hints and wet stone. This Riesling is fresh on the palate, showing good concentration and elegant acidity. Ripe fruit notes on a long, salty, mineral finish.
Steep slopes with a proportion of ungrafted vines growing on grey weathered Devonian slate soils that are rich in very coarse rhyolite and quartz porphyry.
