Careful selection of hand-picked grapes. Destemming followed by gentle pressing. Controlled fermentation and further maturation in 228-litre oak barrels made from the finest French oak. After an extended period on its lees, the wine was bottled in autumn.
Marriage of yellow apple, pear compote and exotic fruit on the nose, with an elegant note of vanilla. An expressive Chardonnay of density, power, complexity and exceptional minerality.
Sourced from 29- to 40-year-old vineyard holdings situated on both sides of the Franco-German border. The subsoil consists of weathered limestone under a topsoil of loam and clay.
