Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Gentle pressing followed by natural sedimentation to clarify the juice. Subsequent fermentation and maturation in temperature-controlled stainless steel.
Pear and quince married with herbal notes on the nose. The palate is powerful yet very elegant, refined and focused. A Riesling exuding well-integrated red-slate warmth.
Sourced exclusively from vines that were planted over 30 years ago on meagre, stony slate soils. The Rebholz twins have put their own stamp on this Riesling Grosses Gewächs – not only is Schäwer a new GG in their portfolio, but the wine also marks a new leaf in the Rebholz story.
