No pesticides or herbicides in the vineyard. Gentle vinification with only subtle use of oak. An average of 25% new oak for both reds and whites.
This premier cru has a ruby colour, with fine, fruit-inflected aromas of cherry and red berries as well as subtle spice and a hint of forest floor. Soft on the palate, with delicate tannins and a balanced, medium body. The finish is persistent, fruity and interspersed with herbal notes.
The Bachelet brothers farm 20 hectares of vineyard in Puligny-Montrachet, Santenay, Saint-Aubin, Meursault, Maranges and Dezize-lès-Maranges. Their Pinot Noir vines have an average age of 50 years, their Chardonnay vines an average age of 40 years.
