Manual selection of grapes from the oldest vines. Whole-bunch fermentation with subsequent maturation for 22 months in oak. Only 600 to 750 bottles.
Intense berry fruit on the nose, complemented by dried herbs, smoke, dried beef, iron and a hint of oak-inflected vanilla. This Cornas has a powerful palate, with ripe tannins and assertive flavours. The finish is long and complex. Give this red wine the time it needs – it will develop beautifully with age.
From a warm, dry microclimate with granite soils. Comprising 1.5 hectares of exceptionally old vines planted in 1913.
