Cabernet Sauvignon, the world’s most planted grape variety, is a natural cross between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. Although it originated in Bordeaux, ‘Cab Sauv’ is a veritable globetrotter. Oak maturation adds charm and often imparts roasted and vanilla characters. Long, careful ageing in bottle helps to soften the wine’s tannic profile.
