Crop thinning, selective hand harvest, gentle vinification.
Elegant, complex nose of fresh white yellow fruit. Firm and almost a little tangy on a palate of great depth and substance. Grippy, chewy mouthfeel with wonderful expression and complexity.
Trittenheimer Apotheke is a world-renowned vineyard situated on the right bank of the Mosel across from Trittenheim. It is perched on an extremely steep slope with grey-blue slate soil. This rocky terrain absorbs and stores the sun's heat during the day and releases it slowly to the vines at night. The very mild climate on this steep, south-west-facing incline affords the late-ripening Riesling grapes enough time to take in minerals, natural glucose and natural extract. Peach aromas and vibrant elegance typify the fine, delicate wines grown from this site.
