Manual harvest followed by vinification in oak as well as stainless steel, with little to no winemaking intervention. Then a long period of maturation on the gross lees. This pure, dry wine is neither fined nor filtered.
The nose opens with herbal notes of basil, rosemary and mint. Citrus, stone fruit and yeasty hints then take centre stage. The palate is dry and pleasantly full-bodied, with juicy acidity and wonderful structure. This Riesling ends long with notes of salted lemon and mint.
Steffensberg is an exclusively south-facing vineyard with grey and copper-red slate soil.
