Selectively picked grapes. Gentle pressing and followed by sedimentation to clarify the juice. Subsequent partially wild-yeast fermentation in stainless steel vats.
Wonderful freshness on the nose, with citrus, exotic notes, apricot, peach and flint. Off-dry on the palate, with juicy acidity and a pleasantly fresh, mineral grip.
The grapes for this wine were sourced from three terraced plots from the Rothenberg, Pettenthal and Hipping vineyards situated on the famous Roter Hang ('Red Slope'). Red shale and a variety of weathered soils dominate here.
