This Franciacorta has a lovely shimmering straw-yellow colour. White flowers and citrus as well as minerally and saline notes on the nose. Dry on the palate with a pleasing mousse, a creamy texture and an elegant finish.
The Franciacorta district's geography of rolling hills was shaped by glacial action during the Ice Age. The soil – glacial moraines – have an extremely rich mineral content that are conducive to the production of high-quality sparkling wine. Franciacorta's has a mild climate thanks its location amid these glacial foothills, which protect the area from harsh winter temperatures and attract enough moisture in summer. During the growing season (April to October), the average rainfall is between 500 and 600 mm, which corresponds to around two thirds of annual rainfall.
