Made from high-altitude grapes with thicker skins. Maceration (skin contact) for around 35 days in stainless steel. Subsequent maturation for two years in 2,000-litre Allier oak casks
Aromas of ripe forest fruit, dried violet, and rose on the nose, underscored by dried herbs, black tea, tobacco and spice. This Valtellina Superiore Riserva has an intense, dense yet very fresh palate, with a long, complex finish ending on ripe fruit, herbs and spice.
These Nebbiolo grapes come from the Dossi Salati vinyrard, which lies at an altitude of 530 to 570 metres above sea level.
