Temperature-controlled fermentation (28°C maximum) on the skins for 15 to 20 days, followed by traditional maturation for two years in French 30-hectolitre oak vessels. No filtering. Bottle ageing at optimum cellar conditions.
Medium ruby. Concentrated on the nose, with ripe berry fruit and delicate minerality. Spicy and smoky entry on the palate, with assertive tannins and a slightly saline finish. A wine of explosive power that will improve with years of ageing.
The grapes for this impressive cru come from the Garblèt Sué vineyard in Castiglione Falletto at 250 metres above sea level. The slopes are south-southeast facing and consist of loam and limestone, or just limestone in some parts.
