Selective harvest followed by manual triage. Cold maceration ('cold soak') for 24 to 36 hours followed by a two-week fermentation. Subsequent maturation for 20 months in 100% first-use French oak, then bottle ageing for a minimum of nine months to add the finishing touches.
Elegant nose of small red berries, blackcurrant, cedar, Mediterranean herbs, and tobacco. Elegant structure and ripe tannins. Inviting and complex, with a beautiful fresh finish.
Harrison Hill Vineyard has steep slopes with gravel and sandy loam soils. The vines have reached a venerable age over the last 15 years and now yield only limited crops.
