DeLille Cellars is based in Woodinville, Washington State. Charles Lill, Greg Lill, Jay Soloff and celebrated winemaker Chris Upchurch founded the winery in 1992. Jason Gorski has been in charge of all winemaking and vineyard operations at DeLille since 2019.
World-class Bordeaux blends
The DeLille story began was the aim of producing pioneering Bordeaux blends in Washington State. Since then, the winery has been perfecting Bordeaux- and Rhône-inspired wines that fully capture the purity of fruit and the terroir that defines Washington State. Its first two commercial releases were blends of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. The team at DeLille have always believed that blending these three grape varieties results in terroir-driven wines that are greater than the sum of their individual parts.
Exceptional vineyards, critical acclaim
DeLille sources grapes from Washington’s oldest and most prestigious grand cru vineyards, which include Ciel du Cheval, Grand Ciel and Harrison Hill. The vines on Harrison Hill are over 50 years old, with DeLille having acquiring the rights to the vineyard fruit in 1994.
DeLille Cellars is today regarded as a world-class producer. The winery features in the Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast Top 100s for both red and white wine, and has been honoured by the Wine Enthusiast as one of the ‘Top Five American Wineries’. DeLille was also one of the first wineries in Washington State to receive Robert Parker’s five-star rating.
