Gentle pressing followed by maturation for 18 months in 56% new barrels (a mixture of three-year air-dried French [33%] and American [23%] oak). No filtering.
Deep ruby colour. This classic Napa Cabernet shows blackcurrant, black cherry, tobacco and noble wood on the nose. Ripe and dense on a well-structured palate, with wonderfully integrated acidity leading to a long finish.
Made from Napa Valley appellation fruit sourced specifically from the St. Helena (30%), Napa Valley (29%), Oak Knoll District (15%), Napa-Carneros (12%), Mount Veeder (6%), Diamond Mountain (5%) and Oakville (3%) AVAs. The wine owes its optimum balance to the different soils of various hillside and valley floor locations.
