Minimal crop, selective manual harvest. Vinification in French oak.
Reminiscent on the nose of Moscato Rosa from Alto Adige, although the grape variety is Black Muscat (also known as Black Hamburg). Ripe blackberry and dark cherry aromas that are redolent of liqueur, complemented by ripe figs and plum jam. High viscosity with exotic fruit on the palate. Concentrated mouthfeel and a very long finish. This is a wonderful and unique dessert wine.
Sourced at an altitude of almost 700 metres above sea level, from a vineyard planted in 1981 on the slopes of Spring Mountain just beyond the town of St. Helena. The soils are of volcanic origin.
