Crop thinning, selective hand harvest, gentle vinification.
Shimmering lemon-green. Nose of ripe white fruit, peach, apricot, and delicate spice. Complex and inviting on the palate. Juicy and elegant, with supporting minerality. Already approachable.
Trittenheimer Apotheke is a world-renowned vineyard situated on the right bank of the Mosel across from Trittenheim. It is perched on an extremely steep slope with grey-blue slate soil. This rocky terrain absorbs and stores the sun's heat during the day and releases it slowly to the vines at night. The very mild climate on this steep, south-west-facing incline affords the late-ripening Riesling grapes enough time to take in minerals, natural glucose and natural extract. Peach aromas and vibrant elegance typify the fine, delicate wines grown from this site.
