Las Llanas is a field blend, meaning that all the constituent grape varieties were picked from the same vineyard at the same time and vinified together. Only wild yeasts were used for fermentation, while skin contact took place in a single used 400-litre barrel. The wine remained there for a while before spending time in Clayver ceramic (24 months of maturation in total).
Very intriguing nose of preserved lemon, baked apple, lemon grass, herbs, freshly baked rye sourdough and wet stone. Exceedingly fresh on the palate, with juicy acidity and very fine tannins. Intense chalky minerality dovetails with the preserved lemon and baked apple to deliver a long-lasting finish. Only 530 bottles of this white wine were produced.
From a very old south-facing vineyard with sandstone soils in Fonzaleche.
