Maturation for 24 months in oak followed by a further 12 months of ageing in bottle.
Dark ruby colour. Complex nose of blackberry, black cherry, leather and tobacco. Dense palate of black fruit, with powerful yet ripe, elegant tannins, lovely roasted notes, and minerality.
The fruit for Reserva de la Familia was sourced from 70-year-old vines growing at an altitude of 860 metres in Burgos province.
