Cold maceration ('cold soak') for 10 days. Subsequent fermentation and maturation for 12 months in oak barrels and large oak casks. The wine spent 18 months in stainless steel before bottling.
Brilliant ruby. Fine nose of small forest fruit, blackberry, blueberry and ripe red cherry. Pure, with elegant and impressive structure and length. Pinot Noir Riserva 2018 is the third red in St. Michael-Eppan's new range called 'The Wine Collection'.
Sourced exclusively from selected plots in Appiano Monte and Rungg, where the soils consist of limestone gravel with clay component and moraine debris.
