Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel for 20 to 30 days. Subsequent maturation for 22 months in new French oak barrels (70% first-use, 30% third-use). No fining or filtering.
Deep ruby. Tobacco and ripe berry jam harmonise beautifully with vanilla, smoky oak, thyme, cherry and leather. Phenomenal tannins. Silky but packing a punch with grip and tension. These complex aromas continue as flavours on the palate, complemented by an exquisite, powerful, mouth-filling finish.
Sourced from the legendary Thorevilos vineyard, where the soils are of volcanic origin. Ric Forman picks the grapes one to two weeks earlier compared to his neighbours, because he wants a wine that offers structure, freshness and natural drinking pleasure.
