Raised in stainless steel and used oak barrels.
Rich gold colour, with an elegant fruit nose of ripe pineapple and pear. An incredibly extract-rich and supple Pinot Gris showing very balanced acidity.
The Villinger grand cru is comprised of old, fertile loess terraces that were formed during the Ice Age when glaciers covered the Alps, the Black Forest and the Vosges. Derived from other rocks in the Rhine basin, these fine sedimentary deposits settled on the wind-protected slopes of the Kaiserstuhl, reaching a thickness of up to 30 metres.
