Rioja old-school: 100% Skincontact for about 4 weeks and maturation for 42 months in 500-litre barrels. Made from healthy, ripe, hand-picked grapes. Only 600 or so bottles.
On the nose, fascinating, highly complex aromas of yellow fruit, preserved lemon, quince, chamomile, flowers and honey. Very juicy on a full-bodied palate, with intriguing oxidative notes of beeswax, dried flowers and honeycomb, which become particularly pronounced on a long finish.
The grapes come from the oldest, lowest-yielding vines in Fonzaleche.
