Manual harvest followed by fermentation in stainless steel and subsequent maturation for 12 months in a 3,000-litre oak cask.
Very fruity on the nose, with cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant, delicate spicy notes and herbal hints. This Tempranillo single-varietal red is elegant on the palate, with time spent in a large cask lending finesse instead of opulence. The tannins are soft and balanced, while the finish is pleasantly long.
Matadiablos is the name of a 2.61-hectare plot that was planted in 1997 on clayey soils around 830 metres above sea level.
