Selective manual harvest. Destemming following by pressing. Fermentation in open-top vessels. Maturation on the fine lees in stainless steel and in used oak barrels. Minimal addition of sulphur.
Deep lemon colour. Very expressive on the nose, with complex aromas of exotic fruit, blossom honey and delicate oak. The palate has grip, beautiful structure, delicately creamy, silky hints and a dynamic finish.
Since 2002, Michael Broger has been growing wine from the 2.5 hectares of vines that he owns and leases above the hamlet of Boltshausen. To preserve his vineyard soils, he works these steep slopes by hand and via the use of manually operated caterpillar-track machinery. Broger is fully committed to the principles of biodynamic viticulture.
