Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes were gently pressed and then fermented. The wine then matured on its lees in French oak barrels (25% first-use), where it underwent malolactic fermentation as well as regular bâtonnage (lees stirring).
Golden colour. Ripe fruit (lemon, apple, pineapple, banana) and subtle oak notes (vanilla, fresh butter) on the nose. Full-bodied on the palate, with slate-soil minerality. Long-lasting finish.
From Fläscher Halde – a steep south-facing vineyard with gradients of up to 45 degrees. The site's mild microclimate and weathered slate soils help to produce elegant, minerally, saline wines.
