Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Maceration (skin contact) for 72 hours followed by gentle pressing and then fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel. The wine was left to rest for a short time before being bottled.
Delicate nose of ripe quince and pear along with floral and mineral hints. This Silvaner has a juicy mouthfeel and fine, salty minerality on the palate, with subtle herbal notes subsequently emerging to frame the ripe quince fruit.
Sourced from Escherndorfer Lump – a very steep south-facing vineyard with a 60-degree incline and deep soils consisting of shell limestone.
