Manual harvest followed by vinification in oak as well as stainless steel, with little to no winemaking intervention. Then a long period of maturation on the gross lees. This pure, dry wine is neither fined nor filtered.
Intense Riesling nose of white peach, ripe lemon and orange zest, with a touch of ginger and a subtle earthy note. Assertive, dry palate with a suggestion of bitterness complementing saline minerality and leading into an exciting, persistent finish.
A blend of four prime crus in Enkirch. Some 60% of the cuvée comes from the Ellergrub vineyard, where the vines were planted over 60 years old and are mostly ungrafted.
