Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Gentle pressing followed by fermentation, malolactic fermentation and maturation in 66% first- and 33% second-use French oak barrels. Blending after 10 months with a further two years of bottle ageing before release.
Intense citrus on the nose, with floral and herbal hints as well as elegant oak aromas. This balanced Chardonnay shows fresh, stimulating acidity on the palate, with candied citrus and freshly baked brioche underscoring a lingering, mineral finish.
Perched on a cool, exposed mountain top with meagre and infertile Franciscan shale soils, this 16-hectare estate is dry-farmed according to the principles of sustainable viticulture.
