Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Gentle whole-bunch pressing followed by fermentation. Subsequent maturation on the lees for eight months in 100% first-use oak barrels, with minimal disturbance.
Grapefruit, mint, chalky minerality and juicy floral notes. Bracing, linear and delicious attack, followed by a mild texture on the mid-palate, with beautiful acidity and complexity leading to an exceptional finish.
This wine is a homage to the great wines of the Loire Valley (and specifically the late Didier Dagueneau), where 'the rocks decide' the style. The fruit is sourced from Marino Vineyard and Kick Ranch – two sites located in the heart of Sonoma County.
