Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes underwent a cold maceration ('cold soak') followed by a cool fermentation that lasted about eight days. The fledgling wine was then left on the grape skins for several days before being gently pressed. Large used oak barrels were used for maturation, with a portion of the wine also spending time in stainless steel.
Medium ruby. Lovely red berry fruit on the nose. Fruity and spicy on the palate, with good acidity, structured tannins and great elegance. Guaranteed drinking pleasure.
From Fläscher Feld – a south-south-west-facing slope with a 10-to-20-degree incline as well as limestone- and humus-rich soils.
