Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Fermentation in large and small oak vessels, followed by maturation for 10 months in third- and fourth-use 350- and 228-litre oak barrels (as well as 10% first-use).
Fresh berry scents, subtle roasted aromas and fine spicy notes on the nose. Fruity attack supported by approachable tannins. Beautiful depth and structure, with a long finish.
From a small plot situated on calcareous alluvial/slate soils. A notable proportion of the vines were planted half a century ago. A relatively lower altitude results in earlier ripening.
