Hand-picked grapes transported swiftly back to the winery. Triage and gentle pressing. Fermentation in stainless steel. All the estate's wines are vegan, i.e. no animal products were used in the vinification process.
Pronounced citrus on the nose along with green apple, apricot and peach. The palate is dry with a juicy mouthfeel and a relatively light body. This balanced, refreshing entry-level Riesling is a delight to drink.
The grapes for this entry-level wine were harvested in and around the famous village of Johannisberg, where the vineyards are composed of weathered quartzite as well as deep loess and loess-loam soils, of which some are gravelly.
