Hand-picked Riesling fruit transported swiftly back to the winery. Meticulous selection (limited yield of around 35 hl/ha) followed by gentle pressing. Fermentation in stainless steel, where the wine remains on its fine lees for a few months before bottling.
Delicate nose of red apple, fresh herbs and white currant, with fine flint notes. Focused on the palate, with lovely depth and concentration as well as well-integrated, juicy acidity. Fine spice on the finish.
The grapes for this village-level Riesling come from various vineyards in Rüdesheim, where quartzite, slate and loamy gravel are the predominant soil types.
