Hand-picked Riesling fruit transported swiftly back to the winery. Meticulous selection (limited yield of around 35 hl/ha) followed by gentle pressing. Fermentation in stainless steel, where the wine remains on its fine lees for a few months before bottling.
Succulent fruit on the nose (mandarine, grapefruit, pear), complemented by a subtle herbal note. The palate is at once electrifying, precise, elegant, vibrant and playful. An exceptional village wine of great tension.
The grapes for this village-level Riesling come from south-facing plots near the edge of Nonnenberg as well as Rothenberg. Loess-loam and deep phyllite soils.
