Hand-picked Riesling fruit transported swiftly back to the winery. Meticulous selection (limited yield of around 35 hl/ha) followed by gentle pressing. Fermentation in stainless steel, where the wine remains on its fine lees for a few months before bottling.
Intense on the nose, with citrus, stone fruit and exotic hints. Minerally, linear and silky on the palate, with nice balance between acidity and fruit. Spice and lovely salty notes on the finish.
The grapes for this village-level Riesling come from steep, south-west-facing sites in Lorch, where slate and quartzite are the predominant soil types.
