Le Mont Benoît includes 20% reserve wine (aged still wine), blended with still wine from the 2020 vintage. The base wine spent 11 months in barrel, with subsequent lees ageing in bottle for around two years.
Rich, fine nose with fresh and expansive floral, fruit and spice notes. Firm and minerally on the palate, with lovely elegance and finesse. A champagne with soul.
Le Mont Benoît is situated near the southern edge of Reims. The soils have a high limestone content, as is common throughout the Champagne region. Gravel and layers of flint overlie the upper part of the slope.
