Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Gentle pressing followed by natural sedimentation to clarify the juice. Subsequent fermentation and maturation in temperature-controlled stainless steel.
The 2022 Schäwer has yellow fruit and delicate exotic notes on the nose, along with ripe apple and pear. Tight, structured acidity lends the palate a juicy, stimulating mouthfeel. Saline minerality and yellow fruit on a long finish.
Sourced exclusively from vines that were planted over 30 years ago on meagre, stony slate soils. The Rebholz twins have put their own stamp on this Riesling Grosses Gewächs – not only is Schäwer a new GG in their portfolio, but the wine also marks a new leaf in the Rebholz story.
