Manual harvest followed by vinification in oak as well as stainless steel, with little to no winemaking intervention. Then a long period of maturation on the gross lees. This pure, dry wine is neither fined nor filtered.
Pale gold colour. An intense, almost explosive nose showing ripe pear, red apple, lime, peach, apricot, ripe mango and fine slate minerality. Dry and highly concentrated on the palate, with firm acidity. Blood orange and salty minerality on a long finish.
The grapes come from a selection of the best vineyards in Oberremmel, Dhron and Kinheim. The vines are at least 40 years of age, with a good proportion of them old and ungrafted.
