100% wild-fermented, then matured primarily in new oak barrels for 15 months. Unfiltered botteling.
Intense notes of raspberry, black cherry, dried flowers and tobacco on the nose, complemented by freshly roasted coffee beans and spice. Medium-bodied palate with a good, powerful tannin structure. This is a very balanced Pinot that will improve quite a bit over the coming years.
Sourced from the oldest plots in Ottoberg and Weinfelden. The vines were planted in 1970/71 and are low-yielding.
