Seven French oak barrels (100% first-use) were used to mature the wine.
Fresh, silky, elegant, complex nose showing mushrooms, raspberry, red cherry, fresh herbs, nougat and delicate roasted notes. Fine and assertive on the palate, showing again raspberry, cherry, a hint of vanilla and a long, fine, creamy finish. Excellent ageing potential.
Kirche is the name of a south-facing terraced vineyard situated near one of the churches in Uetikon. This self-contained site has a distinct microclimate on account of its meagre soil and the continuous cool breezes that blow in from Lake Zurich.
