Direct pressing of 60% of the fruit, with fermentation in stainless steel for 15 days at 16°C. The remaining 40% of the grapes ferment on the skins for 15 days before being left to macerate for a further two months. After the two constituent parts are blended, the wine remains on the fine lees for five months.
This is a complex Vermentino showing citrus, peach, pear, acacia blossom and slightly peppery characters on the nose. Dry on the palate, with lots of freshness and juicy, stimulating acidity. Very balanced and extremely drinkable, with a long finish ending on citrus notes.
From an amphitheatre-like vineyard situated in the slightly hillier part of the Bolgheri appellation – a unique microclimate influenced by Mediterranean winds. The soils are mainly comprised of deep, sandy loam with maritime sediment.
