Selective manual harvest from early to mid-September. Fermentation mainly in a stainless steel tank (70%) as well as in a oak cask (30%), with subsequent malolactic fermentation. The two wines are blended in February.
Very elegant nose showing ripe fruit, pineapple, lemon and a subtle hint of oak. Fresh on the palate, with appealing richness and silky hints without veering into opulence.
The vines – aged between 10 and 30 years – grow in various vineyards in the municipality of Appiano (420 to 500 metres above sea level). These sites enjoy a southerly to south-easterly aspect on soils consisting of limestone gravel and moraine debris.
